color give springy

note - color = rang, give = de, basanth = spring, basanthy = springy...

this particular movie is the talk of the town these days. its supposed to an excellent movie which will apparently move you to tears and cause other patriotic emotions in you.

i went and saw it today...

the way the movie was taken, ie. the direction and the cinematography, was superb.
the actors were also up to the mark.

but, the story was stupid.

i was LMAO when some people were wiping off a tear or two.

the characters should have been blessed with at least the minimum amount of human intelligence. it was soo predictable as well.

the music by a r rehman was damn good.
oh well! ciao!

The movie's had some good reviews though. Basanti also means saffron, by the way. Basanti has been used here for the saffron patriotic touch, probably.

i saw it today too! and even i felt that the story was not upto the mark. but the music, direction, editing, n the way the main story was juxtaposed with bhagat singh's story was quite impactful.
should be watched at least once, i'll say...

I liked the movie. The story too. I dont think the director intended it to be any other way. U could have had the youngsters fighting to bringing the truth to the fore, and all the extended drama that usually ensues. But this story atleast was different in that they took matters into their own hands and were unafraid. Mind u, I'm not saying it was the wisest plan, but I dont think the storyline could've been bettered. And excuse me...did u say the ending was too predictable?? What other movie have u seen in which the ending is similar? Do let me know!!

>:) i seem to have touched a raw nerve...i wud sum up the story as what not to do when such a situation arises! and the abt the predictaility, the second the guys are presented on screen its obvious tht they are gona do the revolutionary roles. the next conclusion was tht it wud rub off on them and make them more patriotic and stuff. the second the said abt 21 gunshots for madhavan's funeral, its obvious tht the dude gona die and they gona regret tht.the decision of the widow to saw 'use maar dalo' was a shocker though.after tht i knew whats gona happen in general terms, tht they gona emulate their roles on film, in a new scenario. when the news reports come out in the dead defence minister dude's favor, its soo obvious tht they gona ask the AIR dude, even b4 they actually say. matter of fact, i cud predict it mosta the time. and in the end, when the first dude is killed, its pretty obvious tht the rest are gona be killed too, or at most one survivor. there u go :) i dont think tht a story sucks cos its predictable. this story sucked cos of its stupidness. cud ppl behave as stupid as this. there was no finesse in execution of the plan.umm.cud the antics tht they did be termed as a plan ;)
